Here are a few posts from this week that I think you will enjoy.
Why Millennials Are Leaving the Church: A Response to Rachel Held Evans by Trevin Wax — Last week, Rachel Held Evans posted “Why millennials are leaving the church” at the CNN Belief Blog. I think that Trevin does an outstanding job interacting with her ideas.
My Top 5 Books by C.S. Lewis by Alister McGrath — A quick but good read on the impact of Lewis’ work. My personal favorite is “The Last Battle” from the Narnia series. Two often overlooked books that I would recommend from him are “The Weight of Glory” and “The Four Loves.”
A Peek Inside My Toolbox by Michael Hyatt — Michael is a great resource on the subject of productivity. If you are having a hard time getting things done, take a look at his list, listen to his podcast, and try out a few of the tools he recommends.
Petra 40 Year Anniversary Album — In my teenage years, Petra was one of the most well-known bands in Christian music. They have sold over 7 million albums and I’m looking forward to the remastered versions of many of their great songs.
How Do You Beat Rich Froning? — You don’t! Rich just became the CrossFit Games champ for the third time; meaning he is the fittest man on the planet. This is a great three-minute video about setting a high standard for yourself. (warning for the squemish: one NSFW word in the video) And here is one more 2:40 video with Rich discussing Crossfit. Love it.
